The Derp State Strikes at the King

"President Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador in a White House meeting last week, according to current and former U.S. officials, who said Trump’s disclosures jeopardized a critical source of intelligence on the Islamic State."

to which the national security advisor who attended the meeting AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CATERGORIZATION OF THE CONVERSATIONS says:
"“The president and the foreign minister reviewed common threats from terrorist organizations to include threats to aviation,” said H.R. McMaster, the national security adviser, who participated in the meeting. “At no time were any intelligence sources or methods discussed, and no military operations were disclosed that were not already known publicly.”"

therefore, at worst case, McMaster failed at his job in advising the president.

but let's consider the actual accusation here.  what is Trump supposed to have done?  discussed threats from and ways to counter ISIL with the *other* major nation which is engaged in fighting ISIL in the middle East?

huh.  that's funny.  that doesn't seem NEARLY so serious as, oh, i dunno, selling the entirety of eastern Europe into slavery under one of the top two most murderous men in the history of the world.  while, mind you, having numerous KNOWN Soviet agents in his administration.

which agents also subsequently aided the transfer of nuclear weapon technology to Stalin.

that doesn't seem as serious as falsifying an enemy attack in the Gulf of Tonkin in order to drag the US into a war which we had no intention of winning.

that doesn't seem as serious as fucking up a weapons op and getting a US ambassador and multiple service men murdered.

that doesn't seem as serious as breaking the law, illegally paying Iran millions of dollars in physical cash notes AND signing treaties which grant Iran practically unfettered nuclear research.

that doesn't seem as serious as accepting millions of dollars in bribes in order to allow Putin to purchase ~20% of US domestic uranium mining.

that doesn't seem as serious as covering up the genocide of millions of Ukrainians so Stalin would allow a reporter to continue sucking his dick.

i mean, we could keep going here, but i think you get the point.
